My Story
I have been intrigued with the field of psychology and helping others since I can remember. I grew up in Southern California, the oldest of four kids. Post college and grad school, I moved away to help support my husband in his career.
We moved all over the country, had children, and have since landed in Northern California where we enjoy exploring the beautiful outdoors as a family. The years between graduating and licensure, have been filled with life's challenges, grief, parenthood, job and living transitions, entrepreneurship, and much more.
I work with my patients at my office in Roseville, CA as well as online in CA. I am a psychodynamically oriented therapist providing a safe and contained space for a deep and lasting transformation of a person's feelings, thoughts and experiences in relationship to others and to themselves. I am also trained in the PACT couples model where we look at attachment, neuroscience and biology which all helps us learn about how we show up in relationships.
Our work in therapy includes staying curious about what comes up each session, looking at family of origin dynamics to help shed light on certain blindspots and pain, and walking alongside you on your journey towards growth and healing. I look forward to connecting with you!
Experience
I primarily work with couples and adults who have a variety of emotional and relational issues including depression, anxiety, grief, loss, boundary setting, parenting concerns and sex and intimacy issues within the relationship and trauma.
I am also a PACT level 1 couples therapist, specializing in couple relationships. I have spent years doing my own work in therapy and place a high value in continuing education and training.
